1 . SHE HAS USED A SPF DAILY ON HER FACE SINCE SHE WAS YOUNG!
JLo has literally been applying sunscreen to her skin since she started dancing. “I’ve been using sunscreen since I was about 18 as a moisturizer,” the star told Women’s Health.
For the record: one dermatologist she visited at the time shared this sunscreen tip with her, while another just suggested Botox, and she followed the sunscreen recommendation instead.
“This is one of the biggest secrets I’m willing to tell everyone that they don’t take seriously enough. Every day, our skin is not only damaged by the sun, but also by the environment. And just having sunscreen on your skin every day will make a difference,” said JLo.
2. OLIVE OIL IS HER FAMILY’S FAVORITE BEAUTY INGREDIENT
The entire JLo Beauty collection is based on a family secret from Lopez’s mother and aunt: olive oil. “It’s kind of like nature’s secret ingredient that we don’t use enough, but we also don’t want to smell like a salad, so you don’t want to use pure olive oil on yourself.”
She also recommends using it for skin hydration, hair and antioxidant protection. “It’s kind of a modernized version of a secret beauty ingredient. It was a favorite of everyone in my family to give a glow,” the singer explained.
3. SHE WASHES HER FACE AFTER EACH WORKOUT
The star of the movie “Marry Me” works out a lot, not only for her physical fitness, but also to keep a good wellness routine. She regularly shares clips on social media, as well as the incredible choreographed dance routines she practices for events such as her Superbowl Sunday performance alongside global superstar, Shakira.
After every workout and sweat session, she makes sure to freshen up. Speaking about her post-workout skin care routine, she said, “I always, always wash my face after a workout. It helps keep my pores clean and my skin healthy.”
4. JENNIFER LOPEZ DOESN’T FORGET TO GET 8 HOURS OF SLEEP A NIGHT!
JLo has regularly mentioned over the years how important she thinks a good night’s sleep is to being at your best.
In an interview with InStyle in 2016, she kept saying, “The number one tip is to always get enough sleep. I can’t stress that enough,” she said. “Ideally, I would like to get nine or 10 hours of sleep, but I always make sure I get at least eight.” She also confided, “If I don’t get my count, I don’t feel good.
